June 1, 2005 Dear Friends: This is to inform you that Friday, May 20, 2005, was the final airing of the Listen to Jesus radio broadcast. We do not owe anyone money, nor are we behind in any payments. I simply believe that the season is over to produce the Listen to Jesus radio broadcast. Since Pastor Clinton, who is now asleep in Jesus, and I first went on the air in October 1981 with the Word Alive radio broadcast (later changing the name to Listen to Jesus), I estimate that more than 17 million dollars have been spent to produce this broadcast so that messages from the uncompromised Word of God would be available to people worldwide. Less than three percent of that cost has been covered by the listening audience, with seventy-four percent of that three percent being provided by our local audience. We vowed that we would never beg anyone for support of what God told us to do. If the Holy Spirit cannot convince anyone to support the program, we refuse to embarrass God by begging or making false promises. The Redeeming Love Christian Center family has carried the financial load of the broadcast through the years, treating it as a missionary outreach. But I realize the significance of seasons, knowing that there are beginnings and endings, endings and beginnings, and a time for every purpose. Therefore, I believe it is time to conclude this particular broadcast. As pastor of two wonderful churches, one in Nanuet, New York, the other in the Poconos, in accordance to Proverbs 27:23, I believe I need to pay closer attention to the flocks. It is time for me to tune in to the needs of the Redeeming Love Christian Center family, as I focus on some things that will better benefit these faithful people. It has been a privilege to serve you and yours all these years. Archived broadcasts of Listen to Jesus will be available on our website, www.redeeminglovecc. org.
