 RLCC Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

                                                                                                            March 15, 2020

Dear RLCC Family and Friends,

We are aware that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has become a matter of worldwide concern. Most recently, President Trump declared it a national emergency. We understand you may have questions about the ministry’s position on this health pandemic. Our purpose for writing this letter is to share Redeeming Love Christian’s response to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis and to encourage your faith in God’s divine protection, as we withstand and overcome this pandemic.

While there is much being shared via the various media sources, please remember that not all of what is being publicized may be accurate or reliable information.  We recognize the over-abundance of updates and information can in the natural, promote fear and panic. We take comfort and strength in God’s word in 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

We encourage you as children of God to hold fast to your faith in God’s word and His faithfulness to perform it. For in spite of the present calamities - we are reassured of God’s covenant protection in

Psalm 91 – NKJV

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;  My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the [a]fowler, And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and [b]buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,  Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.  Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall [c]bear you up, Lest you [d]dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will [e]set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;  I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With [f]long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

As reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - there are confirmed cases of Coronavirus in NYC, Rockland and Westchester County NY as well as in Monroe County, PA. We are continuing to monitor the latest updates from the CDC and the local, state and national health and government authorities.

The ministry will continue to hold regular weekly services – until and unless the local and/or national authorities advise us we are not permitted to do so. While our faith is ultimately in God’s protection, the ministry will obey the natural laws of the land and comply with any official prohibiting of our public meetings/services. If the ministry is required not to hold public services – the RLCC family and friends can stay connected through our Sunday morning live stream of the message and the online audio Wednesday messages at www.redeeminglovecc.org.  Should we have to cancel our weekly services – that information will be posted on the ministry’s website - www.redeeminglovecc.org., our social media resources- Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. You can also call the ministry’s automated phone system (845) 623-9300.

The ministry’s facilities are regularly cleaned twice a week, with special attention given to door handles and surfaces most often touched. As recommended by the CDC – our restrooms are supplied with antibacterial soap. Alcohol based hand sanitizers are made available within the facility.

In light of the current health crisis – we are sharing the following CDC recommended guidelines to help protect you and your loved ones:

  • If you are not feeling well – please stay home.
  • Avoid close contact with others you know are sick.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with your forearm when coughing and/or sneezing.
  • Wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds at a time. Use soap and water when possible.
  • If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol based sanitizer with 60 – 90% alcohol.
  • Use your faith and wisdom in greeting people – choose to give friends and loved ones a friendly wave or elbow bump instead of shaking hands or hugging.

Realizing we have natural and practical needs, – we share these helpful reminders-

  • Remember to fill any important and/or regular prescription medications.
  • Keep a 14 – 21 day supply of essentials such as water, paper goods, disinfectants and non- perishable foods.

Most important – remember to keep your spirit man built up in the word and in prayer.  We believe this epidemic will quickly be no more as we stay in faith and operate in Godly wisdom.
