From Then Until Now Incorporated as a non-profit Christian church, Redeeming Love Christian Center has grown rapidly from a few members, who first gathered on Sunday, September 7, 1980 in the living and dining rooms of Pastors Clinton and Sarah Utterbach's home, to the present congregation of nearly 3,000. Today RLCC owns 18.8 acres of land in Nanuet, New York, which includes a 52,000 square-foot church building with a 3,600-seat sanctuary, and a 48,000 square-foot educational wing. The church motto, "where the Love of God is evident; the Word of God is taught; the Spirit of God is directing and the Power of God is manifested," is the cornerstone for attracting a very diverse congregation, which has a common interest in changing the quality of their lives in a positive way. Redeeming Love Christian Village is a 53-acre expanse of land in the heart of Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains where recreational and spiritual fellowship is available to members and friends of RLCC. The Utterbachs host a radio outreach, "Listen to Jesus" which is heard daily and on weekends nationwide and abroad. The program is a part of their vision to reach all nations of the world with God's Word. The teaching they share is directed at those who may not know Jesus as Lord and Savior, and to further instruct those in the Body of Christ about their authority and privileges as children of God. "The Choice Is Yours," another radio outreach, hosted by Pastor Sarah Utterbach, debuted in March 1993 on New York's radio station, WMCA 570AM. The purpose of the live call-in talk show is "to provide a platform to lift a living Christ over a dying nation" as the Word of deliverance and reconciliation with God is shared with listeners. A word of prophecy spoken over the ministry best capsulizes the precept that has taken the fellowship to a new level of fruitbearing. "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left" (Isaiah 54:2-3, NIV). While change will be an inevitable by-product of growth, one thing will remain the same for RLCC: "Jesus is our focus. Kingdom building is our job." |
